Andy Cigarettes Art

My old friend Andy Cigarettes asked me if I could illustrate art for postcards for him, and all he provided as an idea was one very tiny, very dark photo of him singing, so with pretty much free reign these are the designs I came up with... I'm pretty happy with them all, except the one of him singing looks like he's crying when out of context.

Mini Hahas

Did this project for a very old friends music project the Mini Hahas. Initially when he told me what he wanted I had a really hard time coming up with something since what he wanted was essentially what I would never draw. Anyways, this is what I came up with
and honestly I hated it, so I decided to take a long break. Last night, I revisited the idea in my own style and came up with something I think is 100% better and that I really love, which is this
The moral of this story? If you are struggling with something, put it down, put it away, take a break, and come back to it later.

For a Friend

My friends rabbit died a while ago, and after that friend helped me move here I started this piece as a way of saying sorry/thank you, but put it off until last night. I tried using water color originally, but I really kind of suck at it, so in the end went with acrylic instead.

Dear Diary Zine Fest poster

I'm really excited that I was asked to participate by drawing this flyer, since I think an all perzine zine fest is exactly what many people, including myself, have been craving and waiting for. I wish I could attend the fest in person, but since I am broke and not in the Bay Area anymore I will take solace in that I was able to participate this much and that maybe I can attend next year.

Future flyer

By most likely tomorrow this will be a finished flyer for the Dear Diary Zine Fest, which in my understanding is a perzine fest in response to how more glossy, expensive art type zines have dominated a lot of zine fests in the last couple of years. I honestly truely wish I could go, but I am in Oregon and I am poor, but if you can make it, you should!

Happy New Year!
