Stormy Weather Projects

I made this drawing of Stephan last night for no reason.  I think I might photocopy it and make it into masks for the crowd to wear the next time Escapement plays a show.
And this is a project I just started that will probably be done in a couple of months.  When in Milwaukee I read a really amazing short skit by Lorna Cherot (it was written in 1970) titled "I Am What I Am" about feminism and racism within the movement.  I liked it so much that I've decided to illustrate it.  I absolutely can't find anything about Lorna Cherot, so unfortunatly I can't ask for permission.  Here's the beginnings of this project:

Wowie! Old bay area stuff!

I looked through some of Eggplants photo's today and he has loads of old illustration that I did!  I forgot about all this

This is the original cover I did for the Dreams of Donuts Anthology.  I hand stenciled everything and cut and pasted the title on the front.  It was ridiculously time consuming, so now I do the photo-copied cover.

This is really old illustration for slingshot.

And this stuff is from when we had a zinester-lunch meeting in the east bay and collectively made a zine together.  I forget what the zine was called, but I didn't do much in it.

Old Stuff

This stuff was done during my stay at Hellarity, and was rescued from my trash by Robert Eggplant.  I have it now since I went to take down my art show at Thrillhouse, and it's pretty weird to see these things again.  I was usually the one at Hellarity asked to make flyers for shows, which is what two of these are, and the other two are just products of my depressing doodling when James and I were seperated and not getting along in 2011 but still neighbors.

P.S. That Trash Axis show was REALLY good.  They were a crusty, heavy band from San Diego, and I hope they're still in existance.  Secondly, after that Holy! Holy! Holy! show I was told that one of the members has been accused of assault in Portland and avoided accountability, so by having this up I'm not saying I support that or them in anyway.  I understand it's an allegation, I'm not saying that person is/isn't guilty, I'm just saying what I heard.  And lastly, those ARE Sisters of Mercy lyrics on the top one.  Cheesy goth-move, I know, but I was really bummed!

Dreams of Donuts #16

Done a day before my birthday.  I haven't been up to much art lately, and I could have invested more energy into this issue, but whatever, I'm glad I got it over with.
