Dreams of Donuts 24

Dreams of Donuts 24 is done, this issue being titled "Old/Scattered" since most of the material I write about is from early 2015. In this issue I talk about going to the 2015 Portland Zine Symposium, my trip back with the band Moira Scar, and issues that happened when I got home, including a falling out with a lover and my time spend with a mysterious illness in the Emergency Room. Ordering information unsure as of now, I will probably try to figure out some sort of online payment set up, until now you can just email me if you are interested and we can work something out: all4choice@hotmail.com

Bat

When I first finished this, I realized that I had accidentally put the wings on upside down. At first I was like, "fuck it!", I'm just going to leave it, but the next day I figured, why not just do it right?

In other news, I have actually finished a new issue of Dreams of Donuts. I don't know why I haven't posted anything about it yet, but I'll post some pictures and info probably later today. I am living in Portland now, so I don't know what to do with my zine now that it's done. In the Bay Area I knew where stores were that sold zines, but so far here, with internet searches and asking around, it doesn't seem like there are any places to sell zines at. However, if I find something I will keep you posted.

Another Way Old Post and Walk Down Memory Lane

Back in 2006/7 in Sacramento, my best friend A and I would silkscreen our doodles onto shirts we either dumpstered or found or whatever, free was what we could afford. Then we would go to events at the Greenhouse, which was a giant cooperative hippy house smack dab in the middle of midtown and all the art walk action, and sell them. Back then there was kind of a lapse in spaces to have house shows, or really shows in general. The Greenhouse started opening up their backyard to shows during Second Saturdays, and although it was kind of a hippie scene, it was still nice to get that house show, diy, community vibe. Bands would play out back in a gazebo, and the rest of us would party in a christmas light lit beautiful garden. I have a lot of fond memories of the Greenhouse, for stepping up and being a space when the city was lacking, albeit it wasn't really my scene. This is one of the shirt designs I found that I would sell then.

Pink Plush

I really love the way this one came out. My initial vision was completely different, and a lot more minimalist, but this came out far better then what I was originally planning. I meant for it to look kind of like a gremlin, but instead it looks like some kind of cow or goat.

Way Old

These paintings are from at least 10 years ago, when I would do art for fun but not really put much time into it.

It's Hot

I tried to make this legitimately cute and happy looking, but it didn't really work out that way...

I'm Back!

Thank you Andy Cigarettes for getting me to draw again!  I want to get back into doing art again, so expect more new stuff soon!  Also, if you have a cool project you want me to work on, let me know, I just might do it!

P.S. I've always thought the Baba Yaga is really neat, and maybe somehow a distant relative of all of us weirdo heathens.
